The Surf & Yoga week is…
…similar to the all-in surf week as well as the 30+ week, but following this week you will, next to the daily yoga, also follow 3 yoga workshops! Daily yoga is included in all Pura Vida packages!
…suitable for everyone of 23 years and older. Experience is not required. But if you already have experience, this week will significantly help improving your yoga and/or surfing skills. The ‘retreat’ is similar to the all-in surf week. Besides surfing lessons there is a full yoga program focused on body strength and flexibility. We have a comfortable bed available for you, a big breakfast buffet every morning and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen to prepare a wonderful diner at night. Finding relaxation is not difficult in our lounge garden with (heated) swimming pool, in one of the bean bags while using free WiFi and at the daily camp fire at night drinking cold beers. There aren’t more ingredients needed to make this holiday in the Pura Vida Lodge one you will remember for a long time!

Yoga teacher Manouk
I’m Manouk. Yogi, traveller, teacher, massage therapist, and an overall happy human being. A 500RYT-certified Yoga Instructor and currently on a mission to spread the power and love of yoga across the globe.
I’ve been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching for 5 years. For me, yoga is about creating balance between the body, mind and soul. It’s about showing up on your mat to understand who you are and what’s happening within you. I want to help you feel strong, empowered, resilient and at peace.
As a massage therapist, my focus is to alleviate any tension in the body, but also make sure it doesn’t return. I help you feel lighter, less stressed and more at home in your own body.
I’ve travelled and worked in Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Panama, and now France. You can usually find me outside, barefoot, and in the sea. I love playing card games, sharing life stories and cooking for friends.
SUP Yoga teacher An
An is our SUP Yoga teacher. An will not be present at all times anymore, but will still teach some of the SUP-yoga lessons as well as workshops.
Chakra, Yoga Beyond the Mat & SUP yoga workshop
In this workshop we will discover the 7 chakras within the body and how we can use our yoga practice to stimulate and balance each chakra. We will learn how the chakras relate to our nerves, our organs and other parts of our body that affect how we feel. We will practice yoga poses, breathing, energetic locks, and meditation techniques to realign and open our chakras, which encourages us to come to an optimum state of physical, mental and emotional well-being.
The SUP YOGA WORKSHOP
A combination of stand up paddling and yoga – is the perfect match between surfing and yoga. We first practice on land in an introduction lesson to get more comfortable before we hit the water with the SUP.
YOGA BEYOND THE MAT
Why are yogis vegetarian? How can we use our breathing to turn our attention inwards? What does it mean to be enlightened?
In this workshop we will learn about the foundational principles of yoga beyond the physical poses (asanas). We take a look at all eight limbs of yoga, including the ethics and morals (yamas and niyamas), breathing (pranayama), learning to switch off from the outside world (pratyahara), and the various forms of meditation (dharana, dhyana and samadhi). We will learn how we can integrate these yogic principles into our daily lives and utilise our new-found knowledge to deepen our yoga practice – on and off the mat. (And don’t worry, you don’t have to be a vegetarian to be a good yogi!)
