The SUP Yoga & Fitness week is…
…for everyone aged 23 and above. Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP) is recognized as being one of the fastest growing sports across the world. It is a sport where you intensively train your core as you will mainly train the muscles of your belly, lower back, shoulders, bum and legs, but because you are also constantly busy with holding your balance SUPing is actually a full body workout.
During yoga breathing plays an important role. Combining breathing with movement on a floating platform, you’re sure to find moments of fun, laughter and focus. The rocking movement of the water challenges your balace, but you will also find great relaxation while breathing in the sea breath and letting your body come to total rest.
We will practice Yoga and SUP-yoga at the coastal river behind the Pura Vida Lodge and on a lake nearby, therefore the lessons are suitable for beginners and more experienced participants. If you have never stood on a SUPboard before, we will first practice during an introduction lesson on land.

Yoga teacher Sasja
Sasja (called Sas), our main yoga teacher this summer, hopes to inspire you through her daily classes and supports her students by bringing more awareness to the breath, body, mind and soul. Her classes are flowing and powerful, creating meditation in movement by uniting breath and movement.
Yoga teacher An
An is our experienced yoga teacher. An will not be present at all times anymore, but will still teach some of the SUP-yoga lessons as well as workshops. She offers a variety of yoga classes. Every lesson starts with a warming up, following breathing exercises and several poses which improve your stability and flexibility. It ends with relaxation. An teaches you how to stretch before and after surfing to keep your body in top shape.
In de workshop balance ball (swiss ball) werk je aan de stabiliteit van je core. Je krijgt oefeningen voor controle en balans over je lichaam.
